With just months to go before Apple is expected to launch its 2018 iPhone , several rumours are circulating about the device.

Several photos have been leaked, which allegedly show a prototype for a new iPhone charger that could have super fast charging.

According to 9to5Mac , the charger is an 18W USB-C charger, which will come in the box with new iPhones alongside a USB-C to Lightning cable.

This would allow users to quickly charge their phones from 0 per cent to 50 per cent in under half an hour – without having to buy additional accessories.

The charger is an oval shape with rounded corners, and images appear to show the US and Europe versions.

However, the labelling differs from Apple’s current style, suggesting the plugs may not be legitimate.

9to5Mac suggests that there’s a ‘decent chance’ that the charger could be some kind of third-party copycat.

It could also be an early Apple prototype that the firm is still working on.
